Why is there no MMA in Bangkok?

Why is there no MMA in Bangkok?

I've heard several stories about foreign interest of bringing MMA to Thailand and that Enson Inoue was going to open a gym in Bangkok. Some are having a go outside the city.

Any news? How are others fairing to promote MMA?

i dont understand either why there is no MMA in thailand, this country is a real hub in South East Asia + it is very cheap to come, train and leave for a couple of months in Thailand + if you want to improve your stand up and Muay Thai skills, there is no better place...
With all the major MMA tournaments taking place in Asia (China, Phillippines, Indonesia) Thailand should be the next destination!!!
Whith a couple of minor MMA events in Thailand, the discipline should take off, so where are the promoters

Exactly. I see so many MMA fighters coming through Bangkok to train Muay Thai from the US, UK, AU, and JP. What's it going to take to make it happen?

Is MMA too threatening to the Muay Thai community?
