interview suggestions

Postby bjjasia on Wed Jan 30, 2008 3:22 am

Hi Guys,

Coming up I have interviews with Andy Pi (founder of Beijing BJJ Academy + AOW) and Carlao Santos (head instructor to Emriates JJ Team and previous BJJ instructor at BTT).

Any suggestions for future interviews and or contact information?

Interview with BJJ black Belts

Postby Alivesg on Wed Feb 06, 2008 8:25 pm

Hey Luke,

There are so many Black Belts in Asia that we don't really know of. I guess you can do interviews with Axis Jiujitsu Head Instructor Takamasa Watanabe who rejected many black belt who award him black belts, which he only wanted his black belt from Rickson Gracie.

It is just a suggestion.

Hey Ben,

I was just at Axis and got to speak with Watanabe-sensei about the blog and the SEA BJJ scene. He's a very friendly guy and speaks Portuguese, Japanese and English. I assume from his accent he's from Brazil.

Hopefully I can get an interview in the near future.

He's also informed me there will be a Rickson sponsored tournament in Japan this coming March. The last one Rickson produced as in 2000, so this one should be big. More news to come.

Hey Luke,

That's great. I love to see you soon. We are going to do a competition in Singapore too.
